Radical acceptance is the choice of experiencing yourself and your environment in the moment exactly as it is, instead of how it was supposed to be. It’s the antidote to judging yourself and your environment callously. Most importantly, it's a CHOICE you can make at any given moment.
Instead of resisting our feelings, we embrace them—whether it’s pain, fear, or any other negative feeling—with gentle hands and compassion. Instead of believing that something is wrong with us (or others) and that we must resist our feelings to belong, we allow and accept our current situation. We let go of the idealistic worldview that we must express a transcended version of ourselves at all times.
